Cookie policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
This page explains which cookies and similar tools are used by www.centrobotanicomoutan.it, what they are for and how you can control them. To find out how we handle your personal data, please also read our privacy policy.
What is a cookie
Cookies are small text files that the site saves on your device when you visit it. They make the site work, remember your actions (for example your cart) and, if you allow it, help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
Data controller
Società Agricola Centro Botanico Moutan s.s., S.S. Ortana 46, loc. Il Pallone, 01030 Vitorchiano (VT), Italy, VAT no. IT01522050564. For any request write to [email protected].
Technical cookies (no consent required)
These are necessary for the site to work and cannot be switched off from our system. You can block them in your browser, but the cart, your account and purchases may stop working.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
CBMSESSID | This site (first party) | Identifies your visit: keeps your cart, your account login and protects forms from unauthorised submissions. It contains only a random code, no personal data. | 7 days |
CookiePref | This site (first party) | Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner (accept or reject), so it is not shown again on every visit. | 1 year |
__cf_bm | Cloudflare (third party) | Tells human visits apart from harmful automated traffic and protects the site from abuse. | 30 minutes |
_GRECAPTCHA | Google reCAPTCHA (third party) | Only active on the contact page: checks that the form is filled in by a person and not by an automated program. | 6 months |
Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
They help us understand which pages are most useful and how to improve the site. They are loaded through Google Tag Manager and stay off until you accept them in the banner.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) | Tells visitors apart with an anonymous code to produce aggregate statistics about visits. | 13 months |
_ga_<ID> | Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) | Keeps the state of the browsing session. | 13 months |
If you consent, when you complete an order the site links the identifier of these cookies to the purchase, to measure which visits lead to a sale. Without consent this data is neither read nor stored.
Marketing cookies (only with your consent)
They are used to measure how well our social media campaigns work and, if you have an account, to show you our ads on Facebook and Instagram. They are loaded through Google Tag Manager and stay off until you accept them in the banner.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_fbp | Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd), on this site | Identifies the browser to measure visits coming from Meta campaigns and actions taken on the site. | 3 months |
_fbc | Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd), on this site | Only appears if you arrive from a Meta ad: remembers which ad brought you to the site. | 3 months |
fr | Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd (third party, facebook.com domain) | Used by Meta for advertising and to measure its results. | 3 months |
If you have a Facebook or Instagram account and are logged in, Meta may also read its other cookies already present in your browser. For how Meta handles this data see its cookie policy.
Embedded YouTube videos
Some pages contain YouTube videos. When a page with a video is loaded, YouTube (Google LLC) may set its own third-party cookies on your device, for example:
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE | YouTube / Google LLC (third party) | Estimates the available bandwidth to choose the video quality and recognises the visitor. | up to 6 months |
YSC | YouTube / Google LLC (third party) | Records a code for statistics about the videos viewed during the session. | browsing session |
YouTube may also set other cookies, which Google may use for advertising purposes as well. Google manages them under its own policy: policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
Other external resources
Some parts of the site are loaded from third-party servers. They do not set cookies through our site, but to be delivered they receive your device's IP address:
- Google Fonts: the Montserrat typeface used for text.
- jsDelivr: graphic and functional libraries of the site (Bootstrap, icons, jQuery).
- YouTube: the embedded videos described above.
- Google reCAPTCHA: only on the contact page, to check that the form is filled in by a person.
- Cloudflare: delivery network and protection of the site from harmful traffic; requests go through its servers.
- Google Tag Manager: manages the loading of the analytics and marketing tools described above.
Card payment takes place on an external page of the bank's payment portal, which uses its own technical cookies according to its own policy. Links to our Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest profiles lead to those sites: our site does not embed their tools (apart from the YouTube videos and the Meta pixel described above) and does not set any other cookies of theirs.
How to give, refuse or change your consent
On your first visit the banner lets you accept or refuse non-essential cookies. You can change your mind at any time by deleting the site's cookies from your browser: on your next visit the banner will be shown again. Refusing does not limit your use of the site in any way.
How to manage cookies in your browser

To avoid being tracked by Google Analytics on any site you can also install Google's opt-out browser add-on. More information about Google cookies is on Google's dedicated page.
